6 1-cup servings
1 T. olive oil
1 medium onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 t. cumin
3/4 t. cinnamon
 1/2 t. allspice
2  14-oz. cans of vegetable broth
3/4 c. dried lentils, rinse and drain
3/4 c. white rice
Methods/steps
Saute onions in oil. Add all other ingredients except rice and boil 10 minutes. Then add rice and cook for 20 minutes more over low heat.
